Interventions

Interventions is a professionally directed, education process resulting in a face to face meeting with family members, significant others, friends and/or employer with the person in trouble with alcohol or drugs. People who struggle with addiction are often in denial about their situation and are unwilling to seek treatment for their addictive behaviors. Process addictions like gambling, sex, gaming and food disorders are no different to alcohol and drug addiction.

The person may not recognize the negative effects their behavior has on themselves and others. Keystone Recovery Services helps the person make a connection between their addiction and the problems showing up in their lives. Our goal is to present the person with a structured opportunity to accept help and to make changes before things get worse.

How does it work?
Much of the intervention process is education and information for the friends and family. The opportunity for everyone to come together, share information and support each other is critically important. Once all parties are ready a meeting can be set up. Get in touch with us and we will arrange a meeting.

Do interventions really work?
Our experience has shown that yes it works. Over 90% percent of people make a commitment to get help. However, there are some who wish to continue acting out in their behaviors but we have seen that once a seed is planted they come back and ask for help.

We are the only people in Hong Kong that offer this service!
